When I first heard that British comedian (and also now film star) Russell Brand would appear in the Simpsons, I initially thought, ‘Cool, one of my favourite comedians on one of my favourite TV shows.’ What could possibly go wrong? well, actually, quite a fair amount. Had I have not already known that the Simpsons cartoon of Russell Brand was indeed Russell
Brand, I never would have guessed it was Russell Brand!!!. I would have probably guessed it as being some old, ageing rockstar from the 70′s.

Sorry Simpsons creators but, it just doesn’t look remotely like him. I had a go myself at capturing Russell Brand as a Simpson (left) and feel perhaps that I may have done a slightly better job in getting it to look like him, but I’ll leave that for you to decide. The Simpsons have done such a great job with Celebrities in the past such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles (that made it on there) and hundreds more. But recently they have got a bit ‘pants’. The Ricky Gervais one is also pretty dire for example.
